Alvi Awan historian and biographers Mohabbat H Awan (Birote) and Malik Pervaiz Ahmed Awan (Baithek Awanan, Azad Kashmir)
claimed that Pir Faqirullah Bakoti belonged to Awan tribe but both
authors failed to provide any proofed or his family tree. Pir Faqirullah
Bakoti himself provided his tribe identity as QURESHI, the tribe of
Holly Prophet Mohammed bin Abdullah. A new research by Mohammed Obaidullah Alvi,
his biographer that Pir Faqirullah Bakoti is Usmani but not Alvi on the
basis of newly discovered his family tree that is compiled by his
younger bother Said Moor’s grand son Mohammed Daood of Khaki, Mansehra. Mentioned family tree is attested by shrine superior Sahibzada Pir Mohammed Azher Bakoti Usmani
too by his handwriting. He showed that Pir Faqirullah Bakoti Usmani’s
family started from daughter of Prophet Mohammed and second wife of
third Caliph Usman bin Affan Hadhrat Roqeyya, from Umayyad tribe. Hadhrat Roqeyya was second wife of Hadhrat Uthman
bin Affan after the sad demise of his first wife and daughter of
Prophet Mohammed Hadhrat Umm e kalthome. As narrated by Hadhrat Ibn e
Saad in his book Tabqat that Prophet Mohammed said that if he has one
hundred daughters, he would marry them with Usman one by one. Syed Shabbir Ahmad Usmani, Syed Qamar Usmani, Syed Taqi Usmani, founder of Islamic Banking System and financial institution Meezan Bank and Famous Kashmiri Islamic scholar of Deoband University of India Hadhrat Molana Anwar Shah Kashmiri

Arrival in Circle Bakote
Pir Bakoti is fond of tourism and mobile himself from his native town Pajja Sharief to Murree through Kohala. His tribe Alvi Awan was living in Birote, so he made his mind to settle there. He came in Birote in 1888, built his house at Khoaas. Local Kamlal, a sub-tribe of Dhond Abbasi
tribe donated him 18 canals of agri land where he rebuilt an old mosque
and started Jumma prayers first time in the history of Circle Bakote.
Hadhrat Molana Mian Pir Faqirullah Bakoti arrival at Birote
Hadhrat
Molana Mian Pir Faqirullah Bakoti Usmani encouraged people of Kohsar,
Circle Bakote and Murree Hills at a time when British Government
declared them as a rabbles after defeated in Murree War of Independent
in 1857. People of this area engaged themselves in agriculture promotion
and produce every food, cloths and every thing from their agrilands.
Mohammed Obaidullah Wrote in his book PIR BAKOTI USMANI ORE KOHSAR MAIN MAZAHIB WA ROOHANIYAT KA IRTEQA (The
life of PIR BAKOTI USMANI and evolution of faith and spiritualism in
Kohsar) that people of Kashmir had been stroked with famine and came in
Kohsar and Potohar for relief. Forefather of Lalial family of Birote
established a alms house and started a public kitchen along with Birote
Ghosia Masque (First masque of Birote establish in 1781), where
travelers from and to Kashmir entrained with food and compensated with
cloths and other needs. People of Birote handed over all administration
to Hadhrat Molana Mian Pir Faqirullah Bakoti Usmani in 1916 when he
arrived permanently in Birote. He distributed alms and food as a best
administrator to every needy local or Kashmiri person with status of
honorable gust of Birotians people. Two orphan kids with half cloths
stood in line for food but not availed and they returned home without
food. Hadhrat Molana Mian Pir Faqirullah Bakoti Usmani was in courtyard
of Mohammed in dream, he saw that two kids from Birote were standing
along him. Mohammed asked to Hadhrat Molana Mian Pir Faqirullah Bakoti
Usmani that these my orphan children came to your kitchen but returned
without feeding. He ordered him to entertain immediately. Next day
mentioned kids came but not entertained and returned back empty hand,
Hadhrat Molana Mian Pir Faqirullah Bakoti Usmani sighted kids in
Mohammed courtyard, he again advised him about kids. This was very
alarming situation for him and he felt himself guilty. He decided to
check every person who came on alms house and he sat in the way of
entrance, He saw two children were standing behind the crowd; he stood
up, walked to kids and put them up, kissed their cheeks and brought them
in to his room. Kids were in unclean and uncompleted cloths with bare
feet. He kissed them again and fed them by his hand. He asked kids about
them and they told him that we were fatherless children of our mother.
There were no food in our house and our mamma was hungry for two days.
He again asked who was your guardian or patron. A kid says our maternal
uncle. He inquired people about kids' background and he informed that
they were grand grandsons of Molana Mian Naik Mohammed Alvi, Sons of
Mian Mohammed Zaman Alvi. Kids were under the guardianship of Molana
Mian Mir Ji Alvi and Molana Mian Mohammed Ji Alvi. These answers
surprised him and decided that he would meet with his maternal uncles.

When Hazrat Pir Faqirullah Bakoti Usmani came in Birote, the Islamic prophet Mohammed narrated
him tidings of good heaven if he get married with the widow of Mian

Her tomb is in Khoaas, Birote. All houses that were constructed by
Hazrat Molana Mian Pir Faqirullah Bakoti Usmani in Birote, had

Great Sofi after Pir Malik Seraj (Soorej)
Hadhrat Pir Faqirullah Bakoti Usmani was the greatest spiritual
leader of his time who continued the spiritual movement of Hadhrat Pir
Malik Seraj (Sooraj) Khan, a feudal and a spiritual personality of Dhund Abbasi tribe of Murree
and Circle Bakote. Hadhrat Pir Faqirullah Bakoti Usmani came in Birote,
Moolia and Bakote on invitation of Sardar of Dhund Abbasi tribe of
mentioned areas. They gifted him a big land and cooperated with as great
enthusiasm. Hadhrat Pir Faqirullah Bakoti Usmani was a practical man
both in religio social affairs and every person thought he is his saint.
He gave honor and dignity and honor to Seyeds tribe, as narrated by his
grand son Sahibzada Azher Bakoti Usmani in his book NISBAT E KHAIR UL
BASHER. He further wrote that Pir Bakoti Usmani believed the honor of
Seyeds as the part of his faith. As a social worker he helped the needy
people of every walk of life. Poor people of area traveled with him and
he donated all donations to his colleagues, and when Rs. Twenty
collected and paid to his colleague, he order him to return back to his
home. His house was a free and charity dinning room for all people and
they sat and ate. He also introduced tea first time in Circle Bakote in
first decade of twentieth century. He also boiled his olive tree leaves
and used as tonic for his patients they recovered health immediately.
This herbal treatment is continuing by his successors also in modern
time. He named new borne babies as Obaidullah Alvi father’s name changed as Mohammed Abdullah Alvi instead of Khaliullah Alvi. He married needy girls as their guardian.
Pir Bakoti socio-religious and
blood relationship with other tribes
Pir
Bakoti Usmani is a solo individual of his tribe and family in Kashmir,
Bakote and Birote. Where are others members of his family as paternal
and maternal uncles, aunties, mother’s and father’s other in-laws and
others family members? But he is the owner of spiritualism hero ship
between his all in-laws and other tribes of regions. He is the most
influentional person of all tribes after two centuries of Pir Malik
Suraj of Potha Shareef. He owned a status of a forefather as all tribes
accepted to him. The cause of his socio-religious deep influence is as
opened eyes of biographers, anthropologists and historians of modern
time. As stated by Ibn e Kheldone in his immortal book MUQADDEMA that
Religion, faith and meta physics produced a prejudice among human
especially tribes and sub tribes as Holly Quraan terminologised them
QABAELS AND SHAOOBS. At the time of his emergence two main causes have
disturbed daily routine life of all people of Kashmir and Circle Bakote
and Murree Hills, one was a bloodshed of Sikhs after downfall of
Gakhers’ on millennium dynasty and failure of Balakote Movement of Seyed
Ahmed Shaheed and Shah Ismaeel Shaheed and second was tyranny and
injustice of Dogra regime after end of Ranjit Sing family rule in Punjab
and establishment of Gulab Sing ownership of Kashmir by Amretser
Agreement in 1845, that was unacceptable by the people of the region
both sides of River Jhelum. People of areas were in very deep
psychological disappointed with Gulab Sing Government and in search of a
Messiah who not only guarded but also lead them in a right and
constructive way. Pir Bakoti Usmani emergence in those particular
circumstances motivated them to change their thoughts and domestic
financial conditions and they obeyed him automatically on their
self-interests. When people stepped forward result oriented
circumstances they granted him un-inked power of attorney and accepted
all his social as well as mass decisions. People of Pir Bakoti Usmani
time so happy that where he had gone, they welcomed him as saint and
accepted him as social and spiritual leader and offered him to marry
their sister or daughter. He was real Sufi of Islam, always proffered to
lead Muslims and Non Muslims (Hindus and Sikhs) in a natural and right
way without any hesitation and personal interests. He get married in
Awans, Dhond Abbasi and Raja tribes in Pajja Shareef, Birote and Bakote.
He also married with widows for look after, nourishment, protection and
patronage of those orphans who possessed no resource of feeding or
income. This way of his unselfishness love towards orphans, helpless,
powerless, homeless, unfortunate, poor, miserable, dispirited,
spiritless, resoueceless, enervated, unadventurous and unaccomplished
people built his deep popularity and mass acceptance in tribes with
racketeering speed, never won any body before his time and after his
death. He enhanced his blood relations with Qazies of Pajja Shareef,
Gondal Alvi Awans of Birote, Minhas Rajpoot of Potha Shareef Murree as
acceptance of mentioned tribes status as son in law of Pir Bakoti
Usmani. His only one daughter from Bakote Shreef get married in his
brother Molvi Said Noor son in Khaki, Mansehra. His brothers in law and
sons in law were also dignitaries of their times and they carved special
signs on pages of history. His maternal, in laws relationship in Pajja
Shareef Mushtimba, Saleh Gali, Pahnnah, Andra Sairi Islamabad (AJK), ,
Birote, Bakote, his sisters and daughters and sons in laws relation ship
in Kummikote, Pajja Shareef, Birote, Murree, Pakhli (Mansehra). These
in laws also got popularity, honor ship and immortality with the
reference of Pir Bakoti Usmani. His colleagues, comrades, devotees,
religious teachers and Murshid are alive in souls and spirits of his
followers all over the Worlds.
Pir Bakoti’s contemporary namesakes
Hadhrat

Pir Bakoti…..
A Mobile Sufi give and take his mercies
Hadhrat Molana Pir Bakoti Usmani did not believe in statusco or in shrineism. He also believed that no “Rohbaniat” (Monastic life as an institution) in Islam so he always moveable in Kashmir, Hazara and Murree for preaching of Islam, as resulted thousands of Non-Muslims embraced Islam and recited Kalma Tayeba. He did not purchase any land but accepted “gifted land in Pajja Shareef and Birote” by his devoted tribes and individuals. He always offered invitation of prayers to Non-Muslims as narrated by Sahibzada Pir Azhar Bakoti Usmani that he offered prayers to a Sikh merchant in Kohala but his devotees asked him that he is a Non-Muslim, why he offered prayers? “My duty is to deliver message of Almighty Allah to His human being, acceptance or rejection is right of addressee, not mine. Almighty Allah will ask me what you do for humanity and My creature, I will be answered Him that I delivered your message to them on Youm e Qeyama (The Day of judgment)”. His movements were always urgent when any one called him for Tableegh (Preaching) or help, joined needy persons and help them, as they required during his visits. He was a dabbled edged sword, if any body requested and honored him, his future changed but any body who dodged or insulted him, whose future be squandered. Once Pir Bakoti Usmani was traveling towards Murree and Potohar in hot season, he sit down among his devotees on stones mined by a laborer Kala Khan at Rawat, Murree and ordered him to provide drinking eater to him and his devotees. There was no water in pot when he reached his house, he went Bhurban well but water not founded, then he approached Aliote, filled pot and returned work place. He accused to Pir Bakoti Usmani for his delay and told him reason. Pir Bakoti Usmani and his devotees drank water and went away to enrooted destination. Laborer Kala Khan was the richest person of Murree Hills, MLA of Punjab from Murree constituency who presented a chequ of Rs. fifty thousand to Quaid e Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah at Ambassador Hall Murree for Pakistan Funds in 1946. The fate of a contractor who was also the richest person of Dan Gali, Eastern Kohala was completely vanished from the pages of history and people of Kohala saw that he was eating shit by his fingers, totally unconscious and nuded body, died in dark and snatched by dogs. He married a wife of a poor person without divorce, Pir Bakoti Usmani advised him not to play with Devine laws and give up this practice, but he insulted him and also attacked. He went behind screen and mentioned contractor decay started. He was owner of a dozens of busses enrooted to Rawalpindi Sri Nagger Road. Rajgans of Pajja Shreef, Dhond Abbasies of Bakote and Birote had won his favoritism and traveling on risening, but on other hands some people of Moolia, Birote, Badala, Pajja Shreef and Kohala had lost not only their fate but also completely destruction of their being. Nooray na Bagh (The garden of Noora) in Bakote only a place known by Bakotians but this place was a battle field between Didarism of that day and Pir Bakoti Usmani, at last Pir Bakoti Usmani won the victory and Noora lost his honor, consciousness, family and gardens, had eaten shit and died, as narrated by a journalist Naweed Akram Abbasi. His devotees believed that a saint who served the people, will always alive in their hearts as Pir Bakoti Usmani.
His Mission
Hadhrat Pir Faqirullah Bakoti Usmani came in Circle Bakote to complete a mission of multi dimensional spiritual movement.
He participated in Jihad in commandment of his mentor Akhwand Sahib against Sikh Army in Tribal Areas. He knew that in time of anarchy only solution of NWFP Muslim was Jihad but not succeeded.
Akhwand Sahib ordered him to shift in Circle Bakote so he came first in Moolia, Union Council Bakote. Local landlords afraid by his arising spiritual and social arising and they badly teased him.

He stayed their permanently and with his hard point of view and preaching of Quran and Hadith related to Last Prophet hood of Holy Prophet Mohammed, undelivered imam escaped on spot. He reconstructed masque in Central Bakote. He appointed Qazi Abdullah as imam of masque and started teaching of Quran there.
Bakoti School of Thought
Pir
Bakoti was not a spiritual personality but a great saint of area after
two centuries of Pir Malik Sooraj (real name is Mohammed Suraj Khan died
in 1632) of Potha Sharief Murree, Pakistan. A generation of Circle
Bakote and Murree Hills followed him and his massage. Pir of Deval
Sharief Abdul Majid Ahmed wrote in his book that he was the tidings of
Hadhrat Molana Pir Faqir-u-llah Bakoti. No person or family who did not
accepted his spiritual position as well as merged his blessings. It was
an age of disheartfullness after Balakot massacre in 1839 and defeat of
local tribe in 1857 against British Government, as a result they were
totally unable to lead a caravan without a leader of time, an
uncourageous personality. That space was filled by Hadhrat Molana Pir
Faqir-u-llah Bakoti by highly ethically way of life so he welcomed every
where in area. He encouraged and returned them towards life and social
activities. He established religious schools, started Jumma Prayers in Bakot and Birote, taught them the lessons of rescheduled their culture and society. He planted Indian Olive in his lands but these plants turned into Palestine
or Spanish fruitful trees. Nobody can harm these trees without his
offspring's permission, if committed any body will lose his any body
part today also. He preached the teaching of Islam
as a flexible way and never issue any religious directive which cause
harmful for culture of his time. He reformed and taught people socially
and benefited them spiritually without any difference of cast. He
himself was a very simple personality and donated needy people all his
belongings through his life. He married those widows had no compensation
from their diseased husbands and treated them equally according to
teaching of Islamic prophet Muhammad.
He never permitted any body that came his house inside or peeped in to
his door. His ladies were always in vials day and night, met only with
their closest relatives as father, brother, son, grand son only that
continued today in his family. He was died by diarrhea but he said that
he would never pass away before exit of all his body maleness. He was a
practical Sufi
who implemented his philosophy of theosophy first on his soul and body
then he preached. He is recognized as an elder today every house of area
and people walk without shoes towards his shrine and translate into
reality their uncompleted deeds.
